Financial Organization 101

Since I'm having a harder time sleeping due to the little guy having play time in my belly, I spent most of my night thinking of how I was going to make my home more efficient. Right now its kinda like potty training a child. Its something you want to do because you know it will make your life easier but you KNOW its going to take some discipline on your part.

Well I have decided to share my first step to better organization. I focused on my finances. I have found that finances have more power then the the electric company. If your money is funny then the rest of you is sure to crumble. Nothing is worse than purchasing something and thinking who you have to rob to do it and you definitely don't want to poop where you eat borrow money from people.

So without further ado this is my plan. Many of us dread the word budget. Its like you cussed when you ask someone about or you get this face.
Once I sat and actually got to what was bothering me the most I realized I wasn't focused like I use to be. I moved out at 17 but became financially independent from my parents at 21. This is what I learned thus far

  1. Give to something less fortunate than you...trust me it works
  2. Have multiple accounts with a purpose but like no more than 3-4 tops.
  3. Have a plan for your check like its a tax refund, lol....sorry I had to go there
  4. Under no circumstance should you let anyone have access to your account
  5. Never co-sign for anyone
  6. You don't have to have credit like most people think
  7. Save money with a purpose.
  8. You can purchase a car without a loan...Irony moment my hubby sells cars
  9. When you grow up and feel old get life insurance, j/k...but get life insurance
  10. Create a will
  11. Have multiple sources of income
  12. Don't poop where you eat...you may hate this analogy but it will catch
I guess the word of the hour should be purpose. I like that though because we are best when we exist with a purpose. If you don't know your purpose its okay. I'm still defining mine.

Until Next Time

AHHH someone help...I'm scared

I am 29, and want a change but am scared. EXHALE that felt good to get out. I want so many things out of life and sometimes feel that so much is going on that I can't place my thoughts together. Maybe I'm the only 20something feeling that was but I doubt it.

The blog will basically discuss how I feel about getting out of debt, trying to start a new business and trying to save money all at the same time. Which means The Payton's will be doing some DIY projects...that saves money right? Did I mention I'm a full time student and mommy of 2.5 kids. I have one in the belly.

I know for sure I plan to show my progress with painting my kitchen cabinets. No I am not a big fan of paint but I am an huge fan of saving money so there ya go:) I can thank bloggers like addicted 2 decoratings kitchen remake and domestic imperfections.

My first series will be on getting organized and hopefully staying that way....Yeah right I know I have no time to be organized but I have found that it has helped ease my mind.

Until next time.
